Jessie Atkins passed away peacefully in her sleep Thursday, August 13th, at the young age of 90.
"Mom" is survived by her children, Kristie Atkins (Peter) of Murfreesboro and Terry Atkins (Julie) of Hendersonville; grandchildren, Bruce, Jennifer, and Robyn; great-grandchildren, Bruce and Seth.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband William Bruce Atkins. They could be found most weekends working together in the yard, laughing a lot and just enjoying each other's company. They also worked together at Ford Glass Plant for many years.
The family is grateful and blessed to have had the extraordinary team of Patsy, Laura, and Chelsye to care for Mom for many years. We cannot thank them enough for all their very hard work, sacrifices, and loving care.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 16, 2015 from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. A celebration of Jessie's life will be held on Monday, August 17, 2015 at 1:00 pm
