Jim "Goober" Easterly - Age 77, of Burns, formerly of Fairview, passed away August 26, 2017.
Jim was a generous, loving and kind hearted man. He served his country honorably twice in the United States Army in Vietnam and Dominican Republic. He loved tinkering with cars, anything to do with military history, going to Lynchburg and collecting memorabilia from the distillery and most of all spending time with Myra. He also was an avid Professional Wrestling Fan, a member of the VFW in Fairview, lifetime member of The Corvette Museum and a squire of the Lynchburg Jack Daniels Distillery.
Preceded in death by his parents, Orpha Russell & Ezra Travis Easterly, Sr.; 1 sister, Evelyn Easterly Martin; 3 brothers, Roger Easterly, Ezra Travis Easterly, Jr. and Edward Easterly and his beloved pet, Puff. Survived by his lifelong partner, Myra Spence; "adopted" daughter, Lisa Heggie (Tommy); brother, William "Bud" Easterly (Fay); numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A Life Celebration will be held 2:30pm, Saturday, September 2nd at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens with military honors. Family and friends to serve as pallbearers.
