James Robert "Jimmy" Williams, Jr, age 56, passed away March 26, 2017.

A native of Nashville, Jimmy was the son of the late James Robert Williams, Sr. and Mrs. Reba Robinson Williams, who survives.

Jimmy will be remembered as a man who was larger than life, compassionate and generous. He loved his friends, family and animals, especially his dogs.

He was also dedicated, giving 14 years of his life in service to the United States Army and National Guard. In his free time he was a voracious reader and spent time gardening and working as a carpenter.

Honoring his life and memories, he is survived by his mother: Reba Robinson Williams; two brothers: Tommy (Cheryl) Williams and John (Jennifer) Williams; his loving fiancé: Gwen Bruce; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jimmy will be laid to rest at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens with a gathering of friends and family on Wednesday at 2:30 PM.
