CARTER-MANEY, Jo Reva- age 77, went to be with the Lord on December 8, 2012. She was born to the late Solomon Carter and Ritha Mai Dunn. Jo Reva or "Ms. Weedy", as everyone knew her was a people person who loved to laugh and had an infectious smile. She was a faithful and devoted life member of St. Luke AME Church of Gallatin. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be truly missed. She is preceded in death by her sister, Mildren Ann Carter; daughter, Jeanette Quincy Sadler; step-son, Joe D. Maney, Jr.. She leaves to cherish her memory, a devoted husband of 13 years, Joe D. Maney, Sr.; loving children, Georgia Sadler Kenneth-Brackin, Gary "Chuck" Sadler, and Shirl Randall Baker all of Gallatin; grandchildren, Michael Douglas of Gallatin, April Douglas of Gallatin, Michelle Douglas of Mt. Pleasant, Di'Angelo Groves of Nashville, DeEbony Groves of Gallatin, Tasha Sadler of Gallatin, Sarah Sadler of Goodlettsville, Jasmine Sadler of Goodlettsville, and Gary Lee Keen of Westmoreland; great-grandchildren, Lamarcus Douglas of Gallatin, Tiara Hughes of Mt. Pleasant, Anijah T. Hatten of Goodlettsville, and Jaylan D. Sadler of Goodlettsville; step-children, Cheryl Maney, Claude Mary Anne Maney, and Sylvia Maney of Nashville, Jerry Maney of Florida and a host other devoted friends and relatives. A Life Celebration Service will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Crestview Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crestview Memory Gardens.
