Joann Wilmoth

JoAnn Laster Wilmoth, age 66 of Waverly, passed away December 27, 2016 at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson.

She was a native of Decaturville, TN and was the daughter of the late James Elvin and Martha Marjorie Brasher Laster. She was a 1968 graduate of Fairview High School and retired as a records administrator with the State of Tennessee Department of Revenue.

JoAnn cherished her children and husband and will be remembered as a loving Christian in the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She was quiet and shy and preferred to have the attention focused on others. Her attitude of giving and helpfulness was always focused on those around her.

She is survived by her husband of almost 34 years: F. T. "Sonny" Wilmoth, Jr; two children: Kara Hale and Timothy Paul Wilmoth; and a brother: Donald (Johnnie) Laster.

JoAnn's family will receive friends on Friday, December 30 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
