Joanne Ruth Breeding

On Saturday, March 8, 2025, Joanne “Jojo” Ruth Defrain Breeding passed away peacefully after a short illness with her family by her side. Born on December 8, 1940, in Detroit, Michigan, she will always be remembered for her love of life and friends. She worked for 40 years at St. Thomas Hospital and only just retired at the age of 83. Devoted YMCA member who arrived bright and early each morning.

She was preceded in death by her mother Amelia “Millie” DeFrain (Biekkola) and her father Rene George DeFrain, sister Yvonne Elizabeth Juszkiewicz. She is survived by her daughter Nancy Renee Selph, son in law William Selph and granddaughter Anna Renee Selph.

Visitation will be held 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and a funeral mass at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at St. Henry Church. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation be made to the Bellevue Tennessee YMCA.
