Joe Shillis, age 91 passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, June 8, 2017 in Nashville, Tennessee. Joe was born on November 10, 1925 in Kentland, Indiana to the late Joe and Bessie Shillis, immigrants from Lithuania.

Joe was an avid fisherman and loved to fish and camp at Percy Priest Lake. He worked in manufacturing for many years and had his own handyman repair business. He served one year in the U.S Army and five years in the reserves.

Surviving family members include his wife of 68 years, Alice, his three daughters, Jacquie (Peter), Nancy (Ned) and Mary (Michael). He is also survived by four grandchildren Andrew, Sara, Jake and Erin and one great grandchild, Harper

Visitation will be Monday morning, June 12, 2017 from 9:00-11:00 at St. Henry Catholic Church, 6401 Harding Pike, Nashville, Tennessee with a Funeral Mass following at 11:00.
