John Alan Moore, age 75, of Sebastian, FL, passed away at Lawnwood Medical Center February 27, 2023 of a massive stroke.
Born April 22, 1947 in High Point, NC to John and Annie Belle Moore (dec. 2002, 2012). Alan quickly rose through the Nashville recording industry as a renowned musical composer and arranger in both country and Christian contemporary music, working with such artists as Mel Tillis, George Strait, Barbara Mandrell, Amy Grant, Sandi Patti, Michael Card, Steve Green, Gladys Knight and Dean Martin. Alan was a mentor to countless artists and in 1988, opened Moore Music Group in Chicago, IL composing music for clients like McDonalds, United Airlines and Hallmark. He earned many national Clio awards, gold and platinum records. His music is still heard each holiday season with the perennial classic, Amy Grant’s Christmas Album.
