BEASLEY, John Russell – Age 88 of Franklin, TN passed away on June 18, 2012. He is preceded in death by parents, John and Charlotte Beasley; first wife, Maxine Mangrum Beasley; 2 sisters; 2 brothers, and 1 grandson. He is survived by wife, Betty Beasley; daughter, Loretta Jim Bolton; sons, Wayne Doris Beasley, Ray Beasley, and Mark Pam Beasley; step-son, Don Midia Hughes; step-daughter, Deborah Walter Fields; sister, Augusta Gunter; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He served in World War II as a medic in the Army, and landed on Normandy Beach. A Life Celebration service will be held on Friday, June 22, 2012 at 10 am at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home with Tom Covington and Ronnie Sullivan officiating. Interment will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens where grandsons and a nephew will serve as pallbearers.
