John Ronald Combs, 81, passed away Friday, December 6, 2013 at his home in Fairview TN. He was born February 19, 1932 in Huntsville, AR to Walter Lee and Mildred Cravens Combs, both deceased.

John is survived by his wife, Buenah Harness Combs, Linda Carol Burgess, daughter, Amy Marie Burgess, granddaughter, Calli Hendrick, great granddaughter and Mason Hendrick, great grandson, all in Fairview, TN.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Marilee Lewis and his grandaughter, Joan Rose Burgess.

He moved with his family at a young age from Huntsville, AR to Little Rock, AR. There he married Buenah Combs on June 30, 1956 making their time together last 57 years.

He was a loving and compassionate man. Extremely devoted to his family. He had a huge love for music and animals, especially cats and dogs. He treasured fishing and watching football.

The family will receive friend on Saturday, December 14, 2013 from 1 - 2 PM at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home where a celebration of John's life will be conducted at 2 PM. Interment will be private and at a later date.
