John Dennis, loving Husband, Son, Brother, Father, Papa and Friend walked in to the arms of Jesus at his home in Fairview, TN on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at the age of 60.
John is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Susan, his mother, Doris Shipman, siblings Linda, and Sharon (Mike), sister-in-laws Ellen (Mark), Kathy (John) and several nieces and nephews. He left his legacy to his children, Sheri (Sean), Jennifer (David), Sandi, Deanna (Kenneth), Theresa and John and his grandchildren, Tyler, Vincent, Sloane, Aubrey and Mackenzie.
John was born on August 25, 1955 in St. Louis, Missouri. Aside from his love for God, his family and his church, his heart was with his Special Olympians. In lieu of flowers and in honor of John's passion, you may send donations to the Williamson County Special Olympics. A visitation will be held on Monday, September 28, 2015 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm and a funeral is scheduled for Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at 10:00 am at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home at 9090 Highway 100, Nashville, TN 37221. Reverend, Scott Peterson, will officiate the ceremony.
