John ‘Jack’ Hall, passed away on March 7, 2023 at the age of 72 in New Orleans, LA. He is preceded in death by both of his parents, John and Winfred Hall and his older brother, Phillip Hall.
Jack is survived by his loving daughters, Carrie (Thomas) Witherow and Tiffany (Donnie) Bridges. He was a proud ‘Papa Jack’ to seven grandchildren; Brittany, Kaylie, Chace, Brice, Kaci, Beau and Zach. Jack is also survived by his former wife and good friend, Marta Hall, his older sisters, Ann (Kelley) Ashton, Joanne (Harvey) Brown, Carole (Chester) Terry, and his younger brother Preston Hall, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.
Jack had an infectious and charming personality and was adored by everyone who met him. He was always the light and life of the party and he had a way of putting a smile on the faces of everyone who crossed his path. Jack was the best friend, the favorite uncle, and the one everyone looked to for a good laugh and a memorable moment. He will be deeply missed by so many.
Jack was a man with many talents and interest. He was a car enthusiasts who loved tinkering under the hood and was always looking for ways to spruce up his vehicles with the latest and greatest. He also enjoyed playing video games, spending time on the beach, boating, fishing and watching college football. But Jack’s greatest pleasure was being surrounded by his family, whom he loved so dearly.
Jack spent over 40 years dedicating his life to a career he loved and enjoyed. For almost 20 years he worked for Washington Manufacturing out of Nashville, TN where he mastered industrial garment manufacturing and chemical formulas. Later, he took that knowledge and became a well respected member and leader in the linen industry where he received numerous awards and accolades.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, March 28th, 2023 at Harpeth Hills Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home. The family will hold a visitation from 12:30-1:30. Services will begin at 1:30 followed with a graveside burial. There will also be a small reception at the Pavilion at Harpeth Hills until 5:30.
