John P. McMeen, Jr. of Nashville, TN born on Wednesday, April 27, 1938 died on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at the age of 81.

Mr. McMeen is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Marian; his sons Timothy (Sallie), David and Joseph (Scarlett); grandchildren Ashley, Shannon, Tyler, Patrick, Cash and 1 great grandchild.

J.P. was a dedicated, hardworking roofer for H.E. Parmer Company for over 40 years. When he wasn't working, he was taking care of his family and his mules. J.P. was an avid mule man who never missed an opportunity to hitch his team to a wagon for a fall festival, holiday functions, and especially Mule Day in Columbia TN. A devoted husband and father, J.P. will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home on Thursday, October 24 from 4pm to 8pm and again on Friday, October 25 beginning at 10am with Chapel services beginning at 12:00pm. Interment to follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
