John Hackett Russell III, age 67, died Wednesday March 28, 2018, at his home in Nashville after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Memphis, Tennessee on October 20, 1950 to John Hackett Russell, Jr. and Helen Childress Russell.

After graduating from White Station High School in Memphis, John obtained a degree in business from the University of Mississippi and in international business from Ashridge Executive School in Hertfordshire, England. Throughout his career, he spent much time traveling internationally.

John took special delight in his family and friends. He also enjoyed golf, reading, deep sea fishing and all things Ole Miss. He served as an officer in Sigma Nu fraternity at Ole Miss and was an Eagle Scout.

John was preceded in death by his parents, spouse Maggie Braden Russell and brother Robert Lee Russell.

He is survived by his wife Lisa Hayles Russell, his children, John Hackett Russell IV and Helen Braden Russell and his sister Nan Russell Woody.

Visitation will be at Woodmont Christian Church, located at 3601 Hillsboro Pike, on Saturday, April 7 at 11:00 am. A memorial service will follow at noon.
