John William White of Fairview, Tennessee, passed away at St. Thomas West on Sunday, August 16, 2020; he was 77 years old.
John was a veteran of the US Marines, serving during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He loved woodwork, and stained glass, but most of all, his wife of 60 years.
John is preceded in death by his sister, Mary Jane Dye (Wallace); nephew, Melvin Dye; niece, Mary Elizbeth Garner; and great nephew, Adam Garner.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; son, Will White; daughter, Elizabeth Herrington (Jason); grandchildren, Jackson Tidwell, Bryson Herrington, and Bronson Herrington; special great niece/daughter; Darline Saleh (Layth); grandchildren, Annisa, Jasmine, and Aiden Saleh.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 19, 3:00 - 7:00, and again Thursday, 11:00 - 12:00, with a Celebration of Life beginning at 12:00; all at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home, 9090 Hwy 100, Nashville, TN, 37221.
