Josephine Marion Kemp Booker died August 2, 2015 at the age of 100. She was born on January 31, 1915 in Schenectady, New York. She was preceded in death by her parents Josephine Fredericks Kemp and Francis LeRoy Kemp; husband Joe Leve Booker; and daughter Jeanette Kemp Booker Troth. Survived by son John Howard Booker (Anita); granddaughters Jennifer (Jim) Owens, and Sharon (Ed) Gaffney; eight great-grandchildren Katy, Megan, James, Ashleigh, Lauren and Alex Owens, and Thomas McCardell "Mac" and Cecelia "Cece" Kemp Gaffney. Marion was a former regent of the Belle Meade DAR, a charter member of Woodmont Christian Church, and for the last ten years, a member of Brentwood United Methodist Church. She loved children and animals, was a generous friend to many causes, and was an open-minded friend to those who needed one. She appreciated fine art and music, made ceramics and taught classes in her home studio for many years. The family wishes to thank the staff at Woodcrest at The Blakeford at Green Hills for their care. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 15th at 2:00 p.m. with graveside services at 3:00 p.m. at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
