Joyce "Ilene" Jones Cornwell of Stewart, Tennessee, passed away at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee on Thursday, September 24, 2020; she was 78 years old.
Ilene grew up on Donelson, Tennessee, was an author of books on The Natchez Trace, an editor of books, an editor for college students, and an editor for the Nashville Banner.
She preceded in death by her parents, James and Elizabeth Ferber Jones, and is survived by son, James Cornwell; granddaughter, Elizabeth Cornwell; sister, Elizabeth Anne Jones Waidelich; brother, Glasgow Jones, Jr. "Sonny"; and double first cousin, Warren Otis Furber.
