Joyce LaVerne Ogburn, of Dickson, Tennessee passed away on September 2, 2023, at the age of 87. She was born on October 9, 1935, to Harold LaVerne and Dorothy Elfreda Lane. She enjoyed hosting family dinners, church leadership for Christ and being a black belt recipient in Taekwondo.
She was involved in the World Taekwondo Federation, and the Church of Grace and the Nashville City Club.
Joyce was a Norris High School graduate.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Teresa Joyce Ogburn; parents, Harold and Dorothy Lane; grandparents, Alvin and Bessie Wright; siblings, Carol Clapp and Kent Lane. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons, Guy Ogburn (Leanne) and Gregory Hensley; grandsons, Brent Ogburn, and Chance Cunningham; great granddaughters, Anna and Olivia Ogburn; siblings, Janice Stooksbury, Gene Lane, and Robert Lane; and many loved nieces and nephews.
