Judy M. Jennette Eades

Judy Marie Jennette “Nanny” Eades, passed away on January 19, 2024, at the age of 79. Born in Nashville, TN on September 2, 1944, Judy was a kind-hearted and compassionate individual who touched the lives of many. Preceded in death by her parents, Orbie Catherine and Albert Lee Jennette, brother, Jesse James Jennette, in-laws, Pa-pa and Granny Mai, sister-in-law, Rachael Jennette and brothers-in-law, Bill Hows and Jimmy Eades.

Survived by her loving husband of 61 years Joey Eades, sons, Chuck (Kim) Eades and Troy A. Eades, daughter, Tracy L. Eades, grandchildren, Joseph (Tonia) Eades, Matthew (Elana) Eades, Ashley Eades, Kathryn (Justin) Cox, Karlee Downing, Sam Eades and Katelyn Eades, great grandchildren, Joe Eades, Lucas Chambers, Audrey Eades, Hadley Eades, Mason Eades, Brooklyn Eades, Bryson Cox, Owen Cox and Scarlett Cox, siblings, Clyde Jennette, Ann Hows and Butch (Nan) Jennette. 

Throughout her life, Judy had a deep love for reading. She often immersed herself in various books and found solace within their pages. Judy was active in bible study and a devoted member of River Road Church of Christ, where she found comfort and strength in her faith.

Judy had a love for cooking. She delighted in seeing the smiles on everyone's faces as they enjoyed a family meal. Judy liked sewing for other people. Family gatherings held a special place in Judy's heart as she cherished being with her loved ones. She loved having family gatherings and doing things for others. A fun fact she loved getting hidden “poems” from her Husband, Joey.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday January 23, 2024 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and a second Visitation on Wednesday January 24, 2024, from 10:00 am until the Celebration of Life 1:30 pm all held at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home 9090 Highway 100, Nashville, TN 37221.
