June was born June 11, 1937 in Chicago. She graduated from St. Bernard's Hospital School of Nursing, class of 1958. June's nursing career stretched over many decades and she loved taking care of babies and children. She always said she loved to help those that couldn't help themselves. Her most cherished years of nursing were done at Pediatrics Associates in Iowa City. June was an avid gardener and loved sewing and needlework. She was her children's number one sports fan as they grew up. After moving to Tennessee she continued to work with pediatric nursing until she retired full time to be a grandmother, "TaTa". June will be remembered fondly for years to come by her children Mary (Paul) Dams, Nashville TN, Michelle (Sam) Boger, El Dorado CA, and Bill "Billy" (Lia) Twaler, Charleston SC, grandchildren Helen Mamo, Jake Dams, and Spencer Dams.
