June Vivian Lampley Warden

June Vivian Lampley Warden, age 92, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2024. She was born on August 8, 1932, to the late Rev. John Arter Lampley and Mollie Ellen Pendergrass Lampley in Fairview. 

June graduated from Hillsboro High School and continued her education at Nashville School of Business. She was of the Christian faith and was a member of Old Path Baptist Church. She dedicated her time to being the church’s treasurer and Sunday school teacher. 

June was known as a selfless leader that put everyone else first. This was shown in her leadership roles that she took on throughout her life. She was a girl scout leader and WMU treasurer. She always made sure that her family was well taken care of. June also enjoyed gardening, sewing, spending quality time with her family, and keeping Junior in line! 

June is preceded in death by her parents listed above; her loving husband, Samuel Benjamin Warden “Junior”; great-grandsons, Austin Warden and Baby boy Purdy; and great-granddaughters, Paige Warden and Paisley Kowalski. 

She is survived by her children, Ricky Warden (Wanda), John Warden (Donna), Julie Fischer (Jimmy), and Jeffrey Warden (Candida), and her brother, Herlie Lampley (Sandra). She also leaves behind fourteen grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

A visitation will be held at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm and on Thursday, October 24, from 12:30 until the hour of service. The funeral service will begin at 1:30pm in the chapel with burial to follow. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Old Path Baptist Church in June Warden’s honor.
