He is survived by his children, Rex Daniel West, Karen E. West and Kenneth J. West, Jr. (Sandy); grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Marjorie Gloor (Bill) of Melbourne, FL.

He was a retired Major from the U.S. Air Force. After retiring, he was employed by Lockheed Martin Corporation in Saudi Arabia. He was an avid golfer and avian enthusiast. He was a devout Catholic and was a huge fan of Father Ryan and Notre Dame. He loved his wife and children.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Nashville Humane Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
