Kevin Fincham

October 10, 1965 — March 21, 2024

Kevin Wayne Fincham, age 58, of Fairview, TN, passed away suddenly on March 21, 2024. He was born on October 10, 1965, in Lexington, IL.

Kevin was the rock of his family - a fiercely devoted, loving, and godly husband and father. He was best known for his infectious smile!  He was also affectionately known as "Coach" by so many kids in the Fairview community when coaching all of Noah's sports: baseball, football, and basketball.

Kevin is survived by his loving wife, Heidi Lynn Fincham, and their 9-year-old son, Noah James Fincham. Kevin is also survived by his father, Robert Wayne Fincham, his siblings, Doug Fincham, Debbie Fincham, Brad (Patty) Fincham, Beth (Rick) Barkes, nephews, Ryan Fincham, Robbie Fincham, Nick Barkes, and Matt Barkes, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bernd and Lee Mergener, brother-in-law, Tyson Mergener. In addition, he is survived by a large extended family across the USA including the Auths, Conleys, and Valentis. He is preceded in death by his mother, Sarah Whaley Fincham.

Kevin graduated from Lexington High School in 1984 and North Carolina State University in 2003. He began his career in the restaurant business, mostly as a bartender. He met Heidi in 1999 while they both worked at Outback Steakhouse during college in Raleigh, NC. Kevin was bartending and Heidi started as a hostess.  He would make her milkshakes after her shift and the rest was history.  They married in 2002 and moved to Nashville, TN in 2004 where he later found his passion in assisting seniors with their Medicare insurance needs. After working nearly two decades in the insurance industry, in March of 2022, Kevin and Heidi founded All-Star Senior Solutions and enjoyed selflessly serving their clients together.

Kevin truly enjoyed the simple things in life like sharing beer and wings with friends, Thursday night trivia, rooting for the NC State Wolfpack or Chicago Cubs, boys’ poker nights, golfing, family movie/game nights, card games, back porch stargazing, serving the community, and playing sports in the yard with Noah. Most importantly, Kevin enjoyed just spending time with his wife and son! Their family trio loved each other so much and was most complete when together!

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 25th at Fairview Park (ball fields, 214 SR-96, Fairview, TN  37062) from 4:30 - 6:30pm with a ceremony held at 5:00pm to honor Kevin's memory. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Kevin Fincham Athletic Scholarship fund. A scholarship created to honor Kevin’s dedication to young athletes to excel in sports and life and to be awarded annually to a Fairview High graduating senior, enrolled in college, who possesses the characteristics that Kevin most sought in every athlete he coached.

Checks can be made payable to “Thrivent Funds” with “Kevin Fincham Athletic Scholarship” in the memo and mailed to:
