Kimberley Martinez was born on September 4, 1960 at Donelson Hospital in Nashville TN. She spent most of her young life in the Donelson/Hendersonville area and at various schools. She finally ended her primary schooling at McGavock high school in 1979 where she graduated. About that time she met her future husband and married Mark Littlejohn in December 1979 at the Church where she is memorialized today. She and her husband started their family and raised three beautiful daughters. After the children had grown, she decided to go back to school so she attended MTSU where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice in 1996. Soon afterwards she started her working career with the State of Tennessee as a case manager for the Department of Children's Services. She had many good years there helping the children that needed the attention that only her department could give. She truly enjoyed her career but in time felt it was time to move on. In late 2012, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and after surgery was cancer free, a true breast cancer survivor! She loved to horseback ride, fish and the occasional cruise to the Caribbean. She loved the ocean where she enjoyed late afternoon walks with her husband and family. She was a very loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. God called her home after a long battle with liver disease and she will be GREATLY missed by all who loved her!
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Mark Littlejohn; daughters, Stephanie, Sheena and Shaylan; grandchildren, Isabella Gillihan, Anthony Finley, Lilli Bush, Kobe Phetsengdara and Brooklyn Phetsengdara.
A Celebration of Life Service will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Arlington United Methodist Church, 1360 Murfreesboro Pike, Nashville, TN. Visitation will be Saturday, 1-3 p.m. at the church.
