Kurt Lance Krafft, age 70 of Nashville, passed away at his residence on October 8, 2017.

He was born in St. Petersburg, FL on August 26, 1947, one of three children of Kurt Krafft and Carolyn Frye Krafft.

Throughout his life Lance loved the outdoors. He'd often spend time at the cabin he and his wife built in the Tellico Mountains. There, family and friends would gather to spend time in the woods. Many of his hobbies, such as canoeing, astronomy, photography, and skiing brought him closer to nature.

When he wasn't in the outdoors, he spent time in his workshop woodworking, building pieces for his cabin and family, or playing a soft melody on his guitar. But more than anything, he loved being a husband and father.

His love of life and nature, mixed with his passion for family, friends, and his hobbies will be deeply missed by all. He lived a full life.

Kurt is survived by his loving wife: Ann Rollins Krafft; adoring children: Kurt and Meglyn; and sisters: Kim Krafft (Terry) Jenkins and Pam Patrick.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church on Franklin Road, with a memorial service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Bell Tower Estates at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
