Larry Madison Burnett, Sr. joined his Savior and his wife, Libby, of 60 years at his eternal home on December 29, at the age of 84. Larry lived his life as a paragon of duty to God, family, and community, serving each humbly and with the utmost love. His company and council will by missed by his family, friends, church, and neighbors. Larry was preceded in death by his parents Lee and Frances Burnett, sister Venita, and nephew Bobby. He leaves behind to cherish his memory brother, Ranse (Gloria) Burnett; children Mary Beth (Rody) Blevins, Madison (Dawn) Burnett, and Rebecca (Stan) Lee; grandchildren Rachael (Chris) Manhard, Roderick Blevins, Abby (Robert) Fortenberry, Hillary Burnett, Cameron Lee, and Catie Lee; great granddaughter, Sophia Manhard, and numerous cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and church family. His legacy of duty, humility, and service- along with his jolly laugh- will endure always within the hearts of all who knew him. The family will hold a private graveside service this week, with a larger celebration of life to follow when health and safety permit.
