Laverne Christine Alexander, age 93 of Nashville, TN passed away Friday, January 26, 2018. She was born April 10, 1924 in Paris, Tennessee to the late Walter and Winnie French. Ms. Alexander is survived by her daughter Dianne Richardson and granddaughter Kelly Richardson as well as many other extended family members. She was preceded in death James R. Alexander and her brothers Buford and Wayne French. Laverne retired after many years of service at Harvey's Department Store. A celebration of life will be held Sunday at 2:00pm at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Private interment will take place. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 4825 Trousdale Drive, Unit 220, Nashville, TN 37220.
