Lawrence Cooper Wright, passed away on February 2, 2025, in Clarksville, Tennessee. He was born on December 20, 1938, in Pegram, Tennessee.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 63 years, Jimmie Gail Wright, and siblings Robert, Joe, Jack, Tootie, and Thelma.
Cooper leaves behind a loving family, including his son Scott (Lori) Wright, grandsons Lance (Jessica) Wright and Aaron Wright, great-grandson Lane Wright, and sister Janie Taylor.
Cooper was a man with a joyful spirit, known for his humor and ability to cut up with people. His independent nature stood out to everyone who knew him.
Cooper had a deep love for the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and he could cook anything he put his mind to. He was fascinated by the world around him, often spending time watching animals like rabbits, squirrels, and deer. His active involvement in the church was a testament to his character and values. Throughout his life, he cherished moments spent playing ball with kids, even coaching a few little league teams. His passion for sports extended to tennis, which he played until he was almost in his 80s.
Cooper's laughter and humor, combined with his love for family and the great outdoors, will be cherished and remembered by all who knew him.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 6, 2025 from 9:30am ~ 11:30am with a Celebration of Life at 11:30am and the burial to follow all at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home 9090 Highway 100 Nashville, Tn 37221.
