Leon Cornelius Anderson, age 84, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on April 10, 2024. He was born on June 17, 1939, to the late James Leon Anderson and Ruby Lee Looney in Nashville, Tennessee.
Leon attended Cohn High School and served in the United States Army from 1959 to 1961.
Leon was a devoted Christian and deacon at Westwood Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Lions Club, helping others in the community.
In his spare time, Leon enjoyed Golf, bowling, fishing, watching the Atlanta Braves, watching Charles Stanley, and playing cards with his siblings.
Leon is preceded in death by his father James Leon Anderson; mother Ruby Lee Looney; sisters, Shirley Hale and Lorene Richards; brother, Rickey Anderson; brothers-in-law, John White and William Fly; daughter, Angela (Jason) Nevill; and son, Jimmy Polk.
Leon is survived by his loving wife of 19 years Barbara (Hoskins) Anderson; children, Patty Morgan, Bunny Anderson, Lisa Lindgren, Robert Hoskins, John Hoskins, Eric (Jennifer) Anderson, Derrick (Dee) Anderson, and Nikki Anderson; siblings, Mary (Jim) White, Martha Perry, Emily Fly, Becky Foster, Ray (Pam) Anderson, and Bobby (Carlene) Anderson; grandchildren, Cody Anderson, Megan Anderson, Allana Anderson, Tyler Anderson, Mariah Anderson, Emma Clark, Tana Clark, Michele Morgan, Madison Gomer, Parker Lingren, Wyatt Shadowens, Cole Hoskins, Kyndale Nevill, Steven McCord, Beck Ghantous, Samantha Ghantous, and Quinn Ghantous; and 18 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home on Monday, April 15, 2024, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm and on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, from 10:30am to 11:30am. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, with Pastor Scott Dobbins officiating, beginning at 11:30am with a burial to follow at 12:30pm. Serving as pallbearers will be Tyler Anderson, Cody Anderson, Wyatt Shadowens, Cole Hoskins, Elliott Flair, and Doug Forster.
