Lewis Edward Davidson, age 84 passed away on March 22, 2021. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Peggie Davidson, daughter, Dianne L. Davidson, son Darin (Michelle) Davidson, grandchildren, Lauren (Chad) Buscher and Alex (Abigale) Hughes, sisters, Anna Ruth Buttrey, Paulette Davidson and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
Lewis loved playing high school basketball where he played for Hillsboro High School in Leiper’s Fork in Williamson County. He attended electronic school and preformed TV and radio repair for 10 years. Then finished his career with Xerox after 30 years. He also raced Go Karts and won many trophies, he loved fishing and fished for many years in area lakes and in Florida and Alabama. He loved NASCAR and attended the Daytona 500 for 17 years in a row. Lewis loved the family farm in Humphreys County where he loved to hunt and called it his home away from home. He was very active with meals on wheels and would often assist others by driving them to doctor appointments, prescriptions or other errands.
Special thanks to Joey and Karol Hall for all their help and service with Lewis for the last few years. The family would also like to thank Avalon Hospice, specifically Olivia and Kelly for the gentle and loving attention they provided Lewis.
Visitation with the family will be on Friday from 11-1 PM with a Celebration of life service to follow at 1 PM at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Samaritans Purse, Attention: Donor Ministries P.O. Box 3000, Boone N.C. 28607.
