Linda Gale Anderson

Linda Gale Anderson age 84, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2022 at her home. She is preceded in death by her parents Hubert and Thelma (Lomax) Smith and by her brother Bernie Smith.

She is survived by her loving husband of over 64 years Willie Anderson, and her children Denise (Tim) Johnson and Brian (Tammy) Anderson, all of Bon Aqua Tennessee. She dearly loved her 5 grandchildren: Joshua (Magen) Johnson, Amanda (Tim) Goar, John (Katie) Anderson, Ben (Emily) Johnson, and Andrew Anderson. She received much joy from her 12 great grandchildren; Levi, Jacob, Ethan, Abbigail, and Hannah Goar; Emmett, Anderson, Pately, Madilynn, and David Hayes Johnson; Jack, and Alexis Anderson.

Linda was born on November 25, 1938 in the Cedar Creek community of Perry County. She graduated from Linden High School in Linden, Tennessee in 1956, and she graduated from Peabody Collage for Teachers in Nashville in 1960. Linda and Willie married in 1958 while she was in college, and they made their home together in Nashville, later moved to Fairview, Tennessee where they raised their family. Linda began her teaching career at Lipscomb Elementary, and later taught at Fairview Elementary School in Fairview, Tennessee. She retired after almost 30 years of service in the Williamson County School system. She touched the lives of hundreds of children, and she loved them all. Linda was a very faithful and active member at Westview Methodist Church, filling many roles and encouraging many people.

Linda was a lover of beauty, and she was a gifted craftswoman-quilting, crocheting, painting, sewing, cross-stitching, and decorating. She taught her children to obey, be polite, and take pride in a job well done. Linda was a most excellent wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, and she set the bar high for us all. But most of all, she believed in the Heavenly Father and His Son, and she lived her life as a good servant to Him. She is sadly missed by her family, but we are excited for what she may already be experiencing in her new home with our Lord.

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 13, 2022 from 4:00pm – 8:00pm and Wednesday, December 14, from 9:00am – 10:00am. The Celebration of Life will begin at 10:00am with the burial to follow, all at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home.
