SYLVIS, Lloyd "Mason," Sr. – Age 78 passed away at the VA hospital in Nashville on July 23, 2012. Preceded in death by parents, Loyd H. Sylvis and Irma Mason Sylvis. Survived by wife of 49 years, Sandra Sylvis; Son, Lloyd M. Sylvis, Jr.; Sisters, Lucille Crutchfield, Velma Duty, Fay Pate, and Marie Williams; Brother, Lynn Sylvis; several nieces and nephews; many friends and family at South Harpeth Church of Christ; and beloved cat of 24 years, Midnight. He enjoyed country music, road trips, guns, and shooting guns. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. John Cantrell of South Harpeth Church of Christ will preside. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-8 p.m. and one hour before service time. Life Celebration service will be Friday, 11 a.m. at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home.
