Lorene Parsley

Lorene “Renie” Gertrude Parsley, age 86, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, June 3, 2023. She was born to the late Charlie Kenneth Dubois, Sr. and Thelma Lorene DuBois on April 8, 1937, in Nashville, Tennessee.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Danny Wayne Parsley; daughter, Naomi Jean Moss; husband, Thomas Eugene Parsley, Sr,; brothers, Kenneth DuBois, Jr., John DuBois, and James DuBois; sisters, Camille Hicks, and Charlene West; grandson, David Allen; and great granddaughter, Willow Parsley. Lorene leaves behind to cherish her memory, her sons, Thomas Eugene Parsley Jr (Kari), and Jerry Parsley; daughters, Penny Whitaker (Kevin), Bonnie Neville (Tim), Connie Hall, and Kimberly Parsley; fourteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

A celebration of life service will be on Friday, June 9, 2023, at 11:30am in the chapel of Harpeth Hills Funeral Home with Michael West officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 8, 2023, from 3pm to 7pm. Burial will follow the service at 12:30pm on Friday June 9, in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens with family serving as pallbearers.
