Loyce E. Mangrum, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on June 16, 2024, at the age of 85. Born on September 17, 1938, in Nashville, Loyce led a remarkable life that touched the hearts of many.
Loyce is preceded in death by his father, Walter J. Mangrum; mother, Mary L. Mangrum; as well as 13 brothers and sisters
Loyce is survived by his wife of 64 years, Joyce L. Mangrum; children, Jerald L. (Terri L.) Mangrum, Gregory B. Mangrum, Damon C. (Ramona Cheatham) Mangrum, and Revonna J. Mangrum; grandchildren, Taylor L. Mangrum Campbell, Jackson A. Mangrum, Ashley N. Bobo, Zachary B. Mangrum, and Evan C. Mangrum; great-grandchildren, Jonathan Reid Campbell, Rebecca Lynn Campbell, and Saylor L. Bobo.
In his educational journey, Loyce attended high school at Fairview High School and continued his education at Nashville State.
Having served in the Army, Loyce Mangrum dedicated himself to his country with honor and courage. His commitment to service reflected his strong character and sense of duty.
Away from his professional responsibilities, Loyce found solace in fishing—a hobby that brought him joy and moments of tranquility. However, nothing compared to the love he had for his grandchildren. They were the light of his life and brought him endless happiness.
A visitation will take place on June 25, 2024, starting at 10:00 AM at Harpeth Hills Memory Garden, Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Nashville. This will be followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00 PM at the same location
