Mr. Loyd Dixie Hutchinson of Nashville, TN, passed away peacefully October 25, 2018. He was 89 years old.
Born in Goodrich, TN on March 13, 1929, Mr. Hutchinson is survived by his devoted wife of 69 years, Rebecca Sue.
Survivors also include a sister, Marie Collins, four children, Walter (Diane), Melvin (Tammy), Diana (James), and Rebecca; seven grandchildren, Aubrey, Edwin, Becky, David, Laura, Bailey, Niki; eight great-grandchildren, Taylor, Brayden, Haylei, Blayne, Samarah, Emma, Phoenix, and Reese.
Mr. Hutchinson loved his family a great deal. He was a quiet, humble, simple God-fearing man and never complained. In his younger years, he would enjoy fishing trips with his children and going to estate sales with his wife. He was very keen on finding great antique knives and coins. The annual family visits to the mountains were truly special to him. He loved caring for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, listening to gospel music and current events. He loved his home church and church family.
Visitation for Mr. Loyd Hutchinson will be Friday, October 26, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Harpeth Hills Memorial Gardens, Funeral Home, and Cremation Center. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Harpeth Hills Chapel Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 9:00 a.m.
