NASHVILLE - Lucille Wright passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2019. One of 16 children, she was born in Hickman County, Tennessee on Christmas Eve in 1924. She was preceded in death by husband, William Nelson Wright; son Donald Nelson Wright; granddaughter Rachel Elizabeth Rose Wright; her parents, John Wilburn and Sarah Mattie Viola Warren Jenkins; her siblings, Jesse Doyle Jenkins; Mattie Girlene Jenkins; John Wilburn Jenkins, Jr.; Peggy Jenkins Parker; Lorraine Jenkins Castleman; Lum Jenkins; Douglas Jenkins; Mary Jenkins Griffin; Jimmy Jenkins; Wilma Jenkins Cunningham; Justus Bowers Jenkins; two nephews; one great nephew; and special friend Jack Tyner.

She is survived by granddaughter, Savannah Jane Wright Effinger (Tim); sisters Margaret Jenkins Lanius; Martha Jenkins Martinez; Carolyn Jenkins Booth (David); and Nancy Jenkins Huddleston (Richard); sisters-in-law Montez Bates Jenkins and Joan Hamilton Jenkins; brother-in-law Gene Cunningham; 26 nieces and nephews; 57 great nieces and nephews; and 32 great, great nieces and nephews.

Following the death of her husband, Lucille worked at Castner Knott and successor stores. She was an outstanding league bowler and won many awards. Lucille was a member of Natchez Trace Church of Christ.

Pallbearers will be nephews Gary Jenkins; Tommy Parker; Jerry Jenkins; Johnny Griffin; Pat Parker; Hal Cunningham; Jimmy Griffin; Monte Cunningham; Arnie Cunningham; Troy Cunningham; and Benny Wright.

Honorary Pallbearers are Michael O'Neal; Rick Brown; Thomas Parker; Justin Parker; Chris Parker; Parker Brown; Davis Brown; and Derek Smith.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Jenkins Family Cemetery, c/o Nancy Jenkins Huddleston, 5525 Big East Fork Road, Franklin, Tennessee 37064; Natchez Trace Church of Christ or the charity of your choice.

Visitation will take place at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home, 9090 Highway 100, Nashville on Saturday, November 16th at 9:30 A.M. prior to the service at 11:00 A.M. Burial will be at The Jenkins Family Cemetery, Jenkins Cemetery Road off Barren Fork Lane in Bon Aqua, Tennessee.
