Rebecca Lynn (Donovan) Chapman of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away at St. Thomas Rutherford on Sunday, June 14, 2020; she was 64 years old.
Lynn was preceded in death by her parents, John Edward and Wilma Prater Donovan; and sister, Leslie Pruden.
Survivors include daughters, Kristin Davis (Matthew) and Kelley Rankin (Lee); grandchildren Savannah Chapman, Ethan and Carter Rankin, and Elliott and Aaron Davis; brother, David Donovan; brother-in-law, Glenn Pruden; and nieces and nephew.
Lynn was a loving mother to her daughters and Gigi to her five grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved supporting her grandkids at all of their events, games, concerts, and plays. She participated in Cousin Camp each summer when the kids gathered for sleepovers, games, and activities. She relished her role as Gigi, dying Easter eggs, decorating gingerbread houses, and even helping with science dissections. She loved trips to the pumpkin patch and the Nashville Zoo. She was often seen bringing Starbucks cake pops to the grandkids. She took her only granddaughter Savannah shopping and to get pedicures.
Lynn loved decorating, crafting, and cooking. She was an excellent seamstress and created beautiful smocked outfits for her children and quilts for her grandchildren. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and she decorated multiple themed trees, including her favorite filled with Santa Claus ornaments. She enjoyed beautiful flowers, especially peonies.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 20, 1:00 - 4:00 at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home, 9090 Hwy 100, Nashville, TN, 37221. A private memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
