Marie Nicole Harden

Marie Nicole “Nikki” Harden, born on January 2, 1977, passed away on March 18, 2025, leaving behind memories that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who loved her. A beacon of strength and joy, Nikki was known for her unwavering dedication to her faith, family, and friends. Her loyalty and determination shone brightly.

Nikki is survived by her children Destiny, Brogan, Alyssa, and Lauren, as well her beloved grandchildren. She is also lovingly survived by her parents Phillip and Sharyn Derryberry,. Remembered with love by her former husband, Troy Harden, and her partner, Stephen Highsmith along with several loving family members and friends.

Nikki’s spirit was as beautiful as the sunsets she cherished watching. She cultivated lively Friday night dance parties growing up with her children. She cooked delicious feasts to celebrate holidays with those she loved. Each gathering was infused with her laughter; a sound that brought pure joy and comfort to all.

Her love for life was reflected in her interests; she reveled in the soothing presence of water, whether at the beach, lake, or the pool, finding calm and happiness in those settings. Nikki had a creative spirit, finding solace in the pages of poetry and books, often sharing her own whimsical jokes and playful pranks that brought laughter to those around her. Nikki could be found curled up on the couch watching TV during her relaxation time with family.

Nikki was a dedicated sports mom, cheering proudly as her children played and thrived in their activities at the ballpark. Often seen in the stands, her enthusiasm was infectious, and her support laid a strong foundation for her kids, demonstrating the importance of hard work.

The love Nikki imparted was matched only by her charismatic personality. Friends and family remember her as funny, caring, and undeniably strong-willed. She will be deeply missed.
