MALONE, Marion Ann Sevick – Age 94 of Hendersonville, formerly of Springfield Virginia, went to be with the Lord on May 9, 2012. Marion was born on September 9, 1917, in Hays, PA, to Mary Zagrapan Sevick and John Sevick, recent immigrants from Prague, Czechoslovakia. During WWII, she married her loving husband, William John Malone, on February 24, 1943, and traveled extensively with him throughout his military career until his retirement as a U.S. Army Captain Finance Corps in 1964. They enjoyed 44 years of marriage before his death in 1987. Before her marriage, she assisted in her family's Pittsburgh upholstery shop founded by her two older sisters and also became a skilled seamstress. Her husband's military assignments took the family to California, Hawaii, Kansas, Germany, Virginia, and Utah. Marion was devoted to her religion, a member of her parish Alter Guild, and enjoyed attending daily Mass. Her hobbies included gardening, volunteer work, playing bridge and making rosary beads for numerous Catholic missions in Africa. Marion was a wonderful homemaker; her grandchildren were always a constant joy in her life. Preceded in death by her loving husband, William J. Malone, Sr.; three sisters and four brothers, Jay Letterine, Ann Daufenbach, June Adams, John Sevick, Andrew Sevick, Joseph Sevick and George Sevick. Survived by youngest sister, Dorothy Mariani of Pittsburgh, PA; daughters, Jeannie Marie and husband Steven Luckey of Kalispell, MT & Patricia Ann and husband Landon Greaud Cox, Jr. of Crowley, TX; son, William John Malone, Jr., and wife Karen McCoy Malone of Gallatin, TN; grandchildren, Jennifer Marie Braley and husband Andrew; William Joseph Parson, Jr., Christopher Albert Parson and wife Stephanie; Ryan Garrett Malone and wife Jennifer; Colleen Meaghan and husband Rob Eldredge; Shannon Maureen Malone and fiancé Austin Duncan, Emily Cox and Landon Greaud Cox III; five great-grandchildren, Chelsea and Taylor Raymond, Everleigh Hope Malone, Able Drake Duncan and William Robert Eldredge; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be held 1pm Monday May 14, 2012 at Our Lady of the Lake Church. Interment will follow at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be 4pm -6pm Sunday at HENDERSONVILLE FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flower donations may be made to Catholic Relief Services, P.O.
