Scott Kolemba, 35, a cellular tower technician and native Nashvillian, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 16. He is survived by his wife, Cinda Cantrell Kolemba; his mother and stepfather, Lisa Batey Elam and Kenneth Elam; his father and stepmother Mark Harris Kolemba and Sherry Pinson Kolemba; maternal grandmother Betty Batey; his sisters Nicole Elam Edwards (Alex), Brittainy Kolemba Jones (Brandon), and Alli Kolemba; mother and father in-law, Cinda Smith and James Cantrell; brother in-law Wesley Cantrell; aunts and uncles Roger Batey (Lee Ann), John Batey, Linda Batey McGinness (Mike), Leigh Batey, John Kolemba
Steve Kolemba; cousins, Tara Kolemba, Johnna Kolemba, Brooke Batey Gilliam, Emily McGinness Galley, Parker Batey, Melissa McGinness, Lila Batey Logsdon, Anna Batey, Keli Stewart.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ed Batey, John C. Kolemba and Frances Walsh Kolemba.
Scott faithfully served his country with the U.S. Army from 2004 to 2012, including two tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan. Distinctive medals, badges, citations, campaign ribbons and awards include: Army Good Conduct Medal (2nd Award), National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Two Campaign Stars, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (2nd Award), and Nato Medal.
Scott was a devoted and loving husband, son, grandson, brother, uncle and dedicated friend who was known for helping anyone in need. He was known for his silly sense of humor and huge and loving heart. He was caring and extremely humble. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew him.
Visitation will be held at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home Sunday, March 20 from 4 to 8 p.m. and Monday, March 21 at 1 p.m. with the remembrance service to follow at 2:30 p.m. In Lieu of Flowers donations may be made in his honor to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
