Martha Elizabeth Flowers

Martha Elizabeth Flowers, affectionately known as Libby, age 89, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2025. She was born on February 16, 1936, to the late James Lender Palmore and Ellen Lucille Heins Palmore. Libby is a graduate of Cohn High School in Nashville, Tennessee.

Libby is preceded in death by her parents listed above. She is survived by her loving husband of seventy years, John D Flowers.

She also leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children John David Flowers (Linda), Mike Flowers (Debra), and Betsy Ratliff (Doug); siblings Joyce Baker, Linda Adams, and Dorothy Weber (Ed); grandchildren John David Flowers Jr. (Gretchen), Jim Flowers (Anna), Leah Wood (Josh), Mark Flowers (Hope), Hunter Ratliff, and Talor Ratliff; and great-grandchildren Tyler Flowers, Clara Ann Flowers, Isabella Flowers, Liam Flowers, Mary Allyson Flowers, Will Flowers, Charlie Flowers, and Seth Flowers.

A visitation will be held at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home in Nashville, Tennessee on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 11:30am until the hour of service. The funeral service will begin at 1:30pm with Ken Glaus officiating. Burial will follow in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
