Martha Gray

Martha Isela Rodriguez Gray died peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by family, on Friday, October 22nd, 2021. Martha was born in Juarez, Mexico on July 29th, 1946. When she was a child, Martha moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico where she eventually met the love of her life, Tom Gray. They married on June 1st, 1968 in a beautiful church in Mesilla, New Mexico. The couple bought a house and settled in as parents to their sons, Lee and John-Paul. Martha cherished having the opportunity to watch her boys grow up to become compassionate, hard working adults. As a devout Catholic, Martha always considered the church her second home. Over the years Martha never stopped wanting to learn and that was evident in her passion for reading. She loved to spread the joy of reading and enjoyed buying books for her grandchildren.

Martha was preceded in death by her mother Natalia Rodriguez. She is survived by her husband Tom, her sons’ Lee (Pam) Gray, and John-Paul (Jessamyn) Gray, and her grandchildren, Owen, Elliot and Niko.

Martha will be laid to rest alongside her mother. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
