Mary Kathryn Amstutz- Age 91, passed away November 21, 2018.
Mary Kathryn was a great wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is best described as a kind, loving, nurturing, joyful woman with great strength. She had a good sense of humor and was very witty. She worked as a Nurse for many years along with being a wife to her husband and raising her 3 children. Some of her hobbies and interest were playing the piano, singing in the choir at church, traveling, gardening, farming and most of all spending time with and caring for her family.
Preceded in death by her parents, Estella Marie Hilty Schutz and Edward Everett Schutz; daughter, Pamela Jean Roberts; siblings, Oliver Schutz, Sara Balmer & Ann Newcomer. Survived by her husband of 67 years, Maynard Ray Amstutz; children, Cynthia Kay McCarty (David) & Kathleen Ann Amstutz; son-in-law, James A. Roberts; grandchildren, Amie Potter (Daniel), Matthew Roberts (Elizabeth), Kelly Rodriguez (Gus), Allie McCarty (Ben Young) & Brendan McCarty; great-grandchildren, Mason Potter, Maddox Potter, Micah Potter, Magnolia Rodriguez, Thor Rodriguez, Brooks Rodriguez and Reznor Rodriguez; brothers, Maurice Schutz (Sue) and Arthur Schutz.
A Life Celebration will be held 1:00pm, Sunday. Visitation will be 11:00am-1:00pm, Sunday at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home, 9090 Hwy 100, Nashville, TN, 37221, 615-646-9292, harpethhills.com
