Mary Angela Sircy, a beloved matriarch and cherished friend, passed away on October 9, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, warmth, and unforgettable culinary delights. Born on August 18, 1953, in Nashville, Tennessee, Angela was a radiant spirit whose quick wit and generous soul filled every room.
Angela is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Dean Sircy, stepdaughter, Melanie Taylor, brother, John Barry Springer, and parents Mildred Delores Claytor and John Springer.
Angela is survived by her sisters Rebecca Marshall and Laura(Jay) Sadler, nieces, Mary Catherine Forrester (Mark), Ashley Mynatt, Sara Miller (Hanlon), Alexandra Sadler, grandnephews and grandnieces, Connor, Carson, Hardin, Lola, and Camden, aunt Patsy Claytor, and numerous cousins. She is also survived by stepdaughter, Teresa (Lee) Ofman, stepson, Stanley Sircy, stepson-in-law, Rick Taylor, and step grandchildren, Berek Ofman and RJ Taylor.
She dedicated herself to being a devoted wife for 45 years to her late husband, Paul, demonstrating unwavering support for her husband and stepdaughter, particularly during their times of illness. Angela also loved and treated her nieces like they were her own children. Her selflessness and compassion were hallmarks of her character, which earned her the deep affection of those fortunate enough to know her.
Angela was not only a nurturing caregiver but also a remarkable cook who had an unparalleled talent for bringing people together through food. Friends and family will forever remember her Southern comfort food—her fried chicken, turnip greens, and numerous sweet treats evoked fond memories and an overwhelming sense of belonging. Angela reveled in preparingmeals that warmed both the heart and home, solidifying her place as the heart of her family.
Angela attended Hume-Fogg High School and Vol State Community College. She had an impressive career at Triumph Aerostructures - Vought Aircraft Division and was very proud of her contributions in building aircrafts.
A devoted cat lover, she found joy and companionship in her beloved fur babies, Sugar Baby and Tracy/Taz, who brought endless happiness to her life. She also lovingly remembered her dear companions Maggie, Missy, and Snuggles, who had passed before her.
Her personality shone through in her ability to uplift others with her humor and generosity. As a quick-witted individual, Angelahad an uncanny ability to make even the simplest moments memorable. She never hesitated to offer her time and resources to those in need, embodying the spirit of a true giver. Angelawas a member of the Church of Christ, attending multiple churches throughout her life.
Family was everything to Angela; her home was a sanctuary filled with love, and cherished memories. Those who had the privilege of knowing her will carry her spirit forward, guided by her exemplary love and devotion. Angela's life may have ended, but her impact continues in the memories shared by her loved ones. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
In lieu of flowers, Angela's wish was for support to be directed to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital or Shriners Hospital for Children.
