Mary Phillips

Brentwood, TN.

Mrs. Mary Ann Lauderdale Phillips, a resident of Fairfield Glade, TN and a long-time resident of Nashville, TN passed away peacefully with family members by her side on Friday, September 3, 2021.

She is survived by her husband of sixty-six years Paul (Chun) W. Phillips and her three children, daughter; Jana Lynn (Jimmy) Martin, Ashland City, TN., son; W. Stephen (Janice) Phillips, Tyler, TX., and son; Tommy Wade (Alison) Phillips, Brentwood, TN. She is survived by seven grandchildren, Jeff, Morgan, Tyler, Megan, Caitlin, Tanner and Brook, two step-grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, sisters; Betty Jean Christopher, Hendersonville, TN and Peggy (Jim) Shackleford, Nashville, TN. were also present and extremely supportive during her remaining days of fighting multiple medical conditions.

Mary Ann graduated from Hillsboro High School, Nashville and then attended Vanderbilt University for one year and University of Memphis for three years. She was a member of Pi Beta Phi Society. She was employed by Nashville Periodontal group for seventeen years as the Office Administrator, retiring in 1995. After moving to Fairfield Glade, TN. she was a member of Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church, Crab Orchard DAR, and the local craft group. She spent years volunteering at the Cumberland Medical Center and the Cumberland County Playhouse. She enjoyed knitting, reading, watching sports and playing bridge.

Mary Ann will be incredibly missed by her family, friends and those who had the privilege of spending time with her.
