Mary Etta Taylor Camm- Age 93, Passed away March 25, 2015 after an extended illness. Mary Etta was born September 10, 1921 in Elizabethton, TN. She was the daughter of Burchell Rudy Taylor and Carrie Fielder Taylor.

Mary Etta's family and friends were her passion and delight. She was a loving, caring and devoted mother, and an inspirational treasure to the people who knew her. All who knew her loved her and she will truly be missed.

Mary Etta grew up in Elizabethton, TN where she attended elementary school and graduated from Elizabethton High School in 1940. Upon graduation, Mary Etta attended and graduated from Nursing School in Washington DC and went to work at Garfield Memorial Hospital where she went on to become a Supervising Nurse in Pediatrics overseeing three wards and up to 90 newborn babies.

In 1945, Mary Etta met Edward Joseph Camm, Jr. while they were canoeing on the Potomac River in Washington DC and they were married in 1946.

In addition to raising 5 children, Mary Etta was an active member of St. Philip Catholic Church and the Ladies of Charity for many years.

Mary Etta was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Edward J. Camm, Jr., her mother and father, her brother Bobby H. Taylor, and her daughter Anna Maria.

She is survived by her children, Joanne M. Camm, Edward J. Camm III, Michael M. Camm and Patrick H. Camm; her two sisters, Virginia Laws and Patricia Longmire, 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

The Camm family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Monday, March 30, 2015 at St. Philip Catholic Church; Franklin, TN, Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 10:30 am.

Burial will follow in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
