She was preceded in death by her parents, John Joseph Hyman & Mary Virginia Waggoner Hyman; sons, Philip Burns Davis & Alphonse Henry Davis, Jr.

Survived by her husband, Alphonse Henry Davis; daughters Susan Kelly Davis Adelman (Frank), Anne Elizabeth Davis Welton (Greg), Katherine Burns Davis Abernathy (Rob); sons, Jeffrey Dunn Davis (Michele), John Joseph Davis (Mary), Philip Job Davis II (Kim), James Daniel Davis (Alyson); 24 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; also survived by her brother Philip Anthony Hyman of Chattanooga, TN.

She graduated from Our Lady of Perpetual Help & Notre Dame High School, Chattanooga, TN & St Thomas School of Nursing in Nashville, TN.

Funeral service will be conducted at St. Henry Catholic Church 6401 Harding Road, Nashville, TN 37205, with a Mass of Resurrection offered by The Reverend Monsignor John Burns McArthur at 11:00 am Tuesday May 19, 2015. Visitation will be on Monday, May 18, 2015 at St. Henry Catholic Church from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm.

Pallbearers will be nephews Robert Tucker Davis, Paul Joseph Davis, Richard Pruitt Davis, William Fields Alexander III, Philip Davis Alexander, Francis Patrick Davis, Roy Redford Manning III, Philip Joseph Davis, Jr. & Philip Anthony Hyman, Jr.

Honorary pallbearers will be John E. Cain III, John L. Gorham, Joe Rosson Pepper, Edward A. Adelman, Sr., Edward H. Kohl, James P. Hagey, David V. Yoffee, James A. Curley & Lee C. Williams.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Cecilia Motherhouse, St. Henry Catholic Church or Father Ryan High School in loving memory of Mary Dolores Hyman Davis.
