Mary Priscilla Gillespie

Mary “Penny” Gillespie of Franklin, Tennessee passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024, at the age of 85. She was born on September 27, 1938, to Wallace and Priscilla Gillespie.  

She enjoyed decorating, her dogs, spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was of the Christian faith and Methodist denomination.  

Penny graduated from Fulton High School and attended University of Tennessee.  

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, James Gillespie and Eddie Gillespie; and daughter, Susan Gillespie McDowell. 

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of sixty-five years, Wallace Gillespie; son, Mike Gillespie (Valerie); daughters, Tiffany Storms (David), and Dolly Davis; She is also survived by five grandchildren and one great grandchild, also numerous nieces and nephews.  

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Aveanna Hospice in Penny Gillespie’s Honor located at 235 Noah Drive, Suite 300 Franklin, Tennessee 37064; checks to be made out to: MYSN.
