GRASS, Mary Yarbrough- Age 89, passed away on March 21, 2012. Survived by her husband, John L. Grass; children, Brenda Grass Nash Thomas E., Jr., Larry Grass Sallie, Dennis C. Grass Angela; grandchildren, Beth Nash Barker, Catherine Nash Gay, Thomas E. Nash III, Rachel Nash Brownlee, Larry R. Grass, Jr., Jason C. Grass, Jennifer Self Groce and Brandon Carter Grass, Mark M. Hogewood, Jay C. Hogewood and Lynn Schuck; 25 great-grandchildren; brother, Bobby Yarbrough Sara and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a devoted wife and loving mother. Mrs. Grass had a lifetime involvement, commitment and service to the Baptist Church. She took over her husband's insurance sales job putting him through both college and seminary. She was the first woman agent for Imperial Life Insurance Company and the first woman to qualify for awards and convention for The Western and Southern Life Insurance Company. She was loved and will be missed by all of her family. The life celebration service will be at 3pm on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 with visitation beginning at 1:30 at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home.
