Mary Jo Smith Howell, 81, passed away June 23, 2015 after a lengthy illness. Born June 22, 1934 in Chester Co., TN to C. Banford and Mary Bullman Smith, who precede her. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Frank D. Howell, grandson Elvis Jones Jr., one brother and three sisters.
She leaves behind the following to cherish memories: her children Barbara (Elvis) Jones, David (Joan) Howell, Annette Howell-Allison, Penny (Drew) Wade and Kenneth Howell; grandchildren Roshelle Parker, Dwight Jones, Amanda & Leigh Ann Allison, Ashley, Abby, Austin, & Amber Wade; great-grand children Forrest, Drake & Savannah Parker, Presley, Andrew, Trey & Emily Jones; sister Jerelene McNeil & brother Harold Wayne Smith; sister-in-law Esther Howell & several nieces, nephews, & cousins.
Visitation will be Friday, June 26, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. and Sat. June 27 from 9 til time of service; Interment will follow at Harpeth Hills. Services will be officiated by nephew Doyle Hurst Sat, June 27, 2015 at 11 a.m. in the chapel at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home.
